In the opening game against China, the 2012 Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year award winner a year ago scored the opening goal 13 minutes in and pushed the lead to three in the 34th minute of the game. She wasn't done there, adding an assist a minute into the second half, setting up Mallory Pugh's second of the game as they posted the 4-0 victory. Pugh would finish with four goals on the week.

This was the last event for the U-17 players born in 1997 and 1998, as they will then transition to the U-18s and U-20s. Players born in 1999 will then become the primary age group for the U-17s and begin preparations for qualifying for the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
