Hattenburg, James Lead Sides in Big Wins in Week 7 INWsn HS Best XI Lists

With a super tight race for the top 3A seed at stake in the final week of the season Cami Hattenburg helped lead the Mt Spokane Wildcats to a pair of wins that kept them atop their classification heading into the postseason. Meanwhile in 2A action Pullman played spoilers to Clarkston's hopes of challenging West Valley as Hannah James propelled the Greyhounds to an upset win over the Lady Bantams after suffering a 5-1 loss earlier in the season.

BEST XI 4A/3A 


G - Sydney Reagan (Cheney, Sr) - Made seven stops in a 2-1 overtime win at Ferris and another eight in a 2-1 shootout loss at University. 


G - Abbie Scott (Ferris, Sr) - Made four saves in opening shutout half of 2-1 overtime loss to Cheney and made seven stops in full game scoreless shootout victory against playoff-bound Mead in finale thanks to her ability to cut off attacks and control the goal box.


D - Erika Frahm (Mead, Sr) - An anchor to the Panther back line, she was able to adjust to losing her CB partner midway through the 3-2 win at Ridgeline and then without her in the scoreless shootout loss to Ferris. 


D/M - Taylor Cargile (Ferris, Sr) - A key performer defensively, she helped guide the team in a scoreless shootout win against Mead in the season finale, coming up just shy of a playoff spot.


M - Teryn Gardner (Mead, So) - Two goals in a 3-2 victory over Ridgeline.  


M - Grace Hammermeister (Cheney, Sr) - After a midseason switch to defensive center midfield she has helped guide Cheney to the postseason. She set up the overtime 2-1 winner at Ferris and then against University, she won a huge a tackle and then played the through ball that let to the goal in a 1-1 draw that Cheney won in penalties.  


M - Kylie Stiles (Mt Spokane, Sr) - Had a goal and an assist against North Central, and set up all three goals in the 3-2 overtime win at Lewis and Clark.


M - Sammie Symmes (Gonzaga Prep, Sr) - Scored and assisted in 4-3 win against Central Valley along with a goal and two assists in win against North Central.


F - Zoe Crockett (Central Valley, Sr) - Pair of goals in 4-3 loss at Gonzaga Prep and tallied two goals and an assist in their 3-0 season finale win against Ridgeline. 


F - Erin Ewers (Gonzaga Prep, Sr) - Scored and assisted in 4-3 win against Central Valley, and then scored three goals against North Central.


PLAYER OF THE WEEK :: F - Cami Hattenburg (Mt Spokane, Jr) - Scored a goal and an assist against North Central, and then had two goals at Lewis & Clark in the finale, including the game-winner in overtime to secure the top 3A seed. 


BEST XI 2A/1A 


G - Lillian Cobos (Pullman, Fr) - Made three saves in shutout performance against second place Clarkston. 


G - Taylor Denenny (Freeman, Jr) - Nine saves in a great game against Deer Park, only allowing one goal against the Lady Stags in the loss. 


D - Keely Franklin (Pullman, So) - Helped lead the defensive effort in a 2-0 shutout win against second place Clarkston and set up the insurance goal late. 


D/F - Ella Carnahan (Deer Park, Jr) - Scored the deciding tally in 1-0 win at Freeman to remain unbeaten and tallied twice against Medical Lake. 


M - Ashlyn Chase (West Valley, Fr) - Scored twice in 7-0 win against Shadle Park and another two in win against rival East Valley. 


M - Alena Cochran (Freeman, Fr) - In a 1-0 loss to Deer Park, personally tasked with marking Livvy Moore, preventing her from scoring in a game for the first time this year. Added an assist in the win over Colville.


M - Kaelyn Malone (Colville, Jr) - Scored twice in the 6-2 victory against Medical Lake. 


M - Livvy Moore (Deer Park, Sr) - Set up the game-winner in 1-0 victory against Freeman and was assist machine in finale, setting up six goals along with tallying two in win against Medical Lake. 


F - Aubrey Gregory (Freeman, Fr) - Four goals versus Colville in a 5-1 win


PLAYER OF THE WEEK :: F - Hannah James (Pullman, So) - Goal and assist in their 2-0 win against second place Clarkston. 


F - Abbi McLellan (Lakeside, Sr) - Eight goals in win against Newport and all three goals in a narrow 3-2 road win at Riverside.
