North Idaho College announced six incoming players for its 2012 recruiting class that, all hailing from schools playing Inland Empire League schools in northern Idaho.
The group is led by the Coeur d’Alene High School trio of midfielder/forward Emilee Cordon and defenders Katie Baldwin and Kacy Johnson, the team captain. Cordon was the school’s Offensive Player of the Year and received IEL All-League First Team recognition.
They are joined by Cd’A rival Alyssa Allen of Lake City High School, an IEL All-League honoree who is returning from a knee injury that sidelined her most of her senior season.
Also receiving IEL All-League honors was Ellie Engel of Sandpoint High School. The forward has been recognized multiple times while leading the school to the semifinals all four years, reaching the final three times and winning the championship once.
Kellsi Parson, a midfielder/forward from Lewiston High School, highlights the list as the reigning Inland Empire League’s Most Valuable Player after leading the Bengals to its first District title and two trips to the state tournament.
