WPSL NW: Eugene, Issaquah finish level as Emerald City blanks Oregon

After reclaiming first the night before in Portland, Issaquah SC was only able to add one more point to their tally Sunday afternoon in Eugene, keeping the playoff race fairly wide open. With a big win in Bend, Emerald City jumped into third by snapping a four-game draw streak, drubbing Oregon Rush 5-0.

Eugene Metro FC took the initial lead in the 20th minute via Caitlyn Jobanek under rainy conditions and held the advantage until Trinidad & Tobago international Kennya Cordner scored the equalizer in the 65th minute.

With approximately eight minutes remaining, Issaquah teammates Sadie Phonpadith and Molly Boyd collided on the field, stopping the match for medical attention. Both were taken to the hospital and according to reports, both received stitches for head wounds.
