INW Best XI for Week 2 - Women

INW WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK

F - Rachel Strawn – Idaho State – The senior striker scored more goals in a 4-0 victory against Minot State giver her five on the season after coming into the campaign with six total in her first three years with the Bengals. The Utah native scored the opening, and game-winning, goal 12 minutes into the match and put the game out of reach with her second in the 64th to increase the lead to three.



BEST OF THE INLAND NORTHWEST XI

M – Kirsty Montignani – Rocky Mountain – Tallied two goals and an assist in a 4-0 victory against visiting Eastern Oregon.

M – Jessica Ayala (Eagle, ID) – College of Idaho
– Scored the first half equalizer on the road at the Westminster Kickoff Classic versus Avila (MO), but would fall, 3-1.

M – Ericka Whitehurst (Bend, OR) – Eastern Oregon – Scored the opening goal in a 2-1 loss at Great Falls

M/F – Shawna Anderson (Pasco, WA) – Seattle University - Led the team with five shots in 3-0 win versus Eastern Washington, also helping set up Taylor Ritzman’s third goal to complete hat-trick.

Heather Johnson
F/M - Jill Flockhart – Idaho – Scored opening goal in 3-2 loss at home to Gonzaga, then set up the opener in a 2-0 win versus North Dakota State as well as hitting the crossbar.

F/M – Heather Johnson – Gonzaga – Scored the game-winning goal in the second half for a 2-1 victory over visiting Boise State.

F – Ashley Todd (Cardwell, MT) – Great Falls – Scored the first half equalizer and the game-winning strike for a 2-1 victory over visiting Eastern Oregon. 

F – Camille Cooper (Meridian, ID) – Westminster – Assist on opening strike and scored the second goal in a 6-0 victory against Avila (MO).

F – Margo Hickman (Boise, ID) – Westminster – Goal and an assist late in the match as Griffins cruise to 6-0 win over Avila. Also had an assist on the second goal of a 4-0 win against the College of Idaho.

F – Micaela Castaian – Washington State – Two goals in a dominating 6-0 victory against visiting Boise State.
