INWsn College Best XI - Week 10 & 11: Two for One Edition of Weekly Honors

Busy times with high school and college action locally delayed Week 10's list... so you get twice as many honors this week - and it is exceptionally exciting given some of the performances.

Kelsey Turnbow (Spokane, WA) guided Santa Clara to a thrilling comeback result in a pair of wins for the Week 10 INWsn Player of the Week nod and Morgan Weaver lit things up in Week 11 for Washington State, overshadowing a nice performance from Western Washington's Darby Doyle (Spokane, WA) that would have earned the nod most other weeks.

On the men's side Whitman made a huge stride in the race for the Northwest Conference title, handing Pacific Lutheran its first loss, 2-0, of the season in the first part of the tough two-game trip to the west side that also included a win at Puget Sound as well. Goalkeeper Owen Davis-Bower earned the shutouts in both games for the Week 10 INWsn Player of the Week selection. In Week 11 it was also a two-man choice just as it was for the ladies, both of them on the same side, however. Jake Levine took the nod for the honor over teammate Skyler Munroe as the striker played a key role in both games for Northwest Nazarene as the Nighthawks earned their first two wins of the GNAC campaign.

About INWsn Best XI: Each week INWsoccernews will release lists of the week’s best performances (not necessarily positional as a traditional XI) for men’s and women’s soccer in the region, recognizing players at schools in the region or those from the area that play elsewhere in the nation. The list is extremely flexible and has no defined formation, despite featuring 11 players (when number of results/games allow). The Best XI was launched with the start of the site's collegiate coverage in 2012, continued through 2014 and was re-launched in 2017 after a two-year absence.
