Dozen Players with Northwest Ties Await MLS Draft

A dozen players with ties to the northwest were on the list of eligible players released by Major League Soccer prior to Friday's draft, which kicks off with the first two rounds live at the United Soccer Coaches Convention in Philadelphia.


Highlighting the list of players are a group with ties to the inland northwest comprised of a trio of Gonzaga players, Post Falls' Timmy Mueller and Selah's Rafael Sanchez.

Rounds one and two of MLS SuperDraft 2018 presented by adidas begin at 11:00 am ET on mlssoccer.com. Rounds three and four of the SuperDraft will be held on Sunday, January 21 via a conference call at 2:00 pm ET.

There are 220 players on the list published by the league. There are 92 total selections in the draft with 23 teams preparing for the 2018 campaign.
