Meanwhile, the Gonzaga men are still on the hunt for a potential NCAA berth, finishing a split on the road in California with an impressive victory over conference-leading Loyola Marymount before heading home for the final two games of the season this week.
PAC-12 CONFERENCE - WOMEN

Washington State 1 :: 0 Washington
Getting the victory on the road versus their rivals wasn't easy with the deciding goal coming from Kaitlyn Johnson in the 80th minute when she drove toward the left side of the area before firing inside the far post. Gurveen Clair made two saves for the shutout, preserving a team shutout streak against the Huskies that dates back to their meeting in 2010 and giving her a school-record 14th win. MORE

WEST COAST CONFERENCE - MEN
Friday, November 8
Gonzaga 1 :: 3 San Diego
It was all over in six minutes. When the Torreros hit the crossbar in the first minute, it was just a warning shot as they went on to score three times over the next five minutes. The first came in the second and then a penalty barely into the sixth minute was followed up by another strike 11 seconds later. The Zags made an attempt to rally in the second half, outshooting the hosts 9-6 in the period, but only found one when Zach Hamer (Spokane, WA) connected with his brother Nick (Spokane, WA), who scored right off the service. Gonzaga 1 :: OT :: 0 Loyola Marymount
The Bulldogs bounced back from Friday's elimination in conference title race with a strong resume-builder for their bid to the NCAA tournament, completing a season sweep against Loyola Marymount, which is unbeaten against the rest of the conference and 11-4-2 overall. Missing a number of players for injury and illness, the team bunkered in and used its stellar defense to hold off Lions, who had a 26-10 advantage in shots. Goalkeeper Ryan Caballero had no confidence issues after Friday's howler, making 12 saves to keep the hosts frustrated until Nick Hamer (Spokane, WA) scored his second of the trip, heading in a cross from Clark Phillips for the victory with less than two minutes left in overtime. Santa Clara 6 :: 3 Gonzaga
Karly Baggerly stunned everyone when she took a ball from Kasey Rubosky (Spokane, WA) and drove up the field before scoring the opening goal to put the Zags in front of the eighth-ranked Broncos five minutes in, but it was short-lived as Sofia Huerta (Boise, ID) scored off a cross five minutes later, kicking off a run of six consecutive goals. Santa Clara added two more before the quarter-hour and a corner from Huerta was headed in for their fourth before she scored twice more to tally a hat-trick before the first half was even over. She netted her second in the 27th minute after getting past the defense and the third on a 10-yard effort in the 34th. Cricket Harber scored less than a minute later off flicked-on ball by Kellyn Nelson on a Tori Lee corner and Baggerly added a second in the 47th with the two sides surprisingly going scoreless the rest of the way after a rate of a goal about every five minutes.
