Week 7 Collegiate INW Best XI – Men & Women

INLAND NW SOCCER NEWS BEST XI - MEN 

D – Matt Brink (Billings, MT) MSU-Billings :: Led a back line that guided the Yellowjackets to a pair of road victories, winning 2-1 at University of Mary and 1-0 at Sioux Falls.

D – Alex Mendez (Bonners Ferry, ID) Great Falls :: Led the Argonauts to a 2-1 road win against unbeaten Jamestown College.

M – Daniel Clark (Littleton, CO) Northwest Nazarene :: Scored what proved to be the winning goal in a 3-1 victory on the road against Sioux Falls and helped lead the team in a 2-1 road win against University of Mary.

M - Jaime Torres (Pomona, CA) Northwest Nazarene :: Scored a goal in both games on the road in leading the Crusaders to a 2-1 win against Sioux Falls and a 3-1 victory against University of Mary.

M - Kyle Menchaca (Meridian, ID) Walla Walla CC :: Scored the opening goal in a 2-1 win at Spokane and set up the lone goal in the 1-0 victory at Shoreline.

F - Sam Engle (Eugene, OR) Whitworth :: Scored the opening goal of a 3-2 victory against Pacific Lutheran on a fantastic bicycle kick.

F - Robby Ubben (Gig Harbor, WA) Whitworth :: Provided the winning strike in a 3-2 victory against unbeaten Pacific Lutheran with six minutes remaining.

F - Christian Johansen (Drammen, Norway) U-Great Falls :: Scored both goals in a 2-1 road victory, handing Jamestown College its first loss of the season.

F - John Di Lulu (Boise, ID) Northwest Nazarene :: Provided the assist on the 2-1 game-winner at University of Mary and set up the opening goal of the 3-1 victory at Sioux Falls.

F - Joseph Bolin (Payette, ID) College of Idaho :: Scored the winning goal in a 4-1 comeback win on the road versus Northwest Christian and added the consolation goal in a 3-1 road loss to Corban.

F - Thomas Sheets (Everett, WA) MSU-Billings :: Set up both goals in a 2-1 overtime victory at University of Mary.

INLAND NW SOCCER NEWS BEST XI - WOMEN

G – Jamie Arthurs (Richland, WA) Western Washington :: She only needed to make two saves, but led a defensive unit that shutout and beat the 9-0-0 Yellowjackets to hand them their first loss.

G – Gurveen Clair (Surrey, BC) Washington State :: Made five saves in a late 1-0 victory on the road against Colorado.

M - Whitney Wood (Coeur d’Alene, ID) Northwest Nazarene :: Headed in the lone goal of the contest on the road in Canada for a victory against Simon Fraser.

M - Katie Flynn (Sandy, UT) Idaho State :: Scored the equalizer and set up the game-winning strike in a 2-1 win against Northern Arizona.

M - Katie Baran (Spokane, WA) U-Idaho :: Set up the opening goal in a late 2-1 loss at Texas State and delivered the cross that led to the opener in a 1-1 draw at the University of Texas-San Antonio.

F - Christa Saur (Boise, ID) Carroll College :: Two goals in a 5-0 victory against Great Falls and scored the opening goal 11 minutes into a 3-2 victory against visiting Westminster.

F - Rachel Strawn (Roy, UT) Idaho State :: Two goals, including game-winner with two seconds left, in a 2-1 victory against Southern Utah.

F - Katrin Grant (Salem, OR) Whitworth :: Goal in 2-2 draw against Pacific Lutheran and assist on the game-winner versus Puget Sound.

F - Megan Lindsay (Spokane, WA) Seattle Pacific :: Delivered a corner for the 2-1 overtime game-winner with 10 seconds remaining against Saint Martin’s.

F - Tiara Pajimola (Spokane, WA) Whitworth :: Opening goal in both matches, leading the Pirates to a 2-2 draw against Pacific Lutheran and a 1-0 victory against unbeaten Puget Sound.

F – Sarah Hicks (Boise, ID) College of Idaho
:: Scored the winning goal in the final minute in a 2-1 comeback win at Corban.
