Lower Division Five Stars - Round Two

A weekly list of the top five players or performances of each round in NASL, USL Pro and MLS Reserves…

ROUND TWO (April 8-14)

Tommy Heinemann - Vancouver Whitecaps Reserves
He sent a shot off the woodwork early in the contest then sent a header toward goal that was blocked, but fell to Jordan Harvey for the opening tally in a 2-0 victory against RSL.

Cory Miller - LA Blues
Led a defense that shutout Orlando City in a 1-0 win midweek and allowed just three shots by Phoenix while also providing the game-winning goal in the 3-1 victory Sunday.

Brian Shriver - Carolina RailHawks
Involved in both goals, providing the ball to Ty Shipalane, who sent in the cross for the opening goal by Austin da Luz. He then scored on a fantastic free kick from the top of the box that proved to be the 2-1 winner against Edmonton.

Casey Townsend - Richmond Kickers
On loan from affiliate DC United, the striker scored two goals in a 4-1 victory against the defending champion Charleston Battery.

Carl Woszcynski - LA Blues
The keeper made eight stops against two-time regular season champion Orlando City en route to a 1-0 victory.
