Week 11 Collegiate INW Best XI – Men & Women

With the end of the season in sight, teams were looking for needed results for postseason positioning or to for positive finishes for seniors and the future of the program. For games through Sunday, October 28.

INLAND NW SOCCER NEWS BEST XI – WOMEN

INW Player of the Week :: G – Patty Hughes (Kalispell, MT) Northwest-U :: Six saves to top Concordia 1-0 on the road and two saves in a 2-0 victory at Warner Pacific to clinch the CCC regular season title.

M - Carissa Cooper (Meridian, ID) Westminster :: Tallied a hat-trick in 7-1 drubbing of Houston-Victoria on the road.

M - Mayra Castillo (Santa Ana, CA) Great Falls :: Goal and an assist in a 3-2 victory against Jamestown.

M - Tori Lee (Kirkland, WA) Gonzaga :: Set up both goals in a 2-0 victory against Loyola Marymount.
Erica Hart, Idaho

M - Katie Baran (Spokane, WA) Idaho :: Assist on the lone goal in a 5-1 loss to Denver followed by a pair of assists in a 3-1 win against New Mexico State that clinched a playoff spot.

:: Pair of goals push the Vandal lead to three in a 3-1 victory against New Mexico State to clinch a playoff spot.

M - Sarah Staropoli (Beaverton, OR) Northwest Nazarene :: Scored a first half equalizer and then set up the next two goals en route to leading the Crusaders to a 3-2 win at Western Oregon.

F – Kelli Jones (Boardman, OR) Eastern Oregon :: Goal for 1-1 draw against playoff contender Southern Oregon.

F - Mandi Achten (Billings, MT) Rocky Mountain :: The freshman had two goals and an assist in a 3-0 victory against Jamestown.

F – Sofia Huerta (Boise, ID) Santa Clara :: Set up both goals in a 2-2 draw on the road versus San Francisco and then against San Diego she scored the opening goal and set up the 88th minute 3-2 winner.

F – Brandi Vega (Carson City, NV) Washington State :: Created winning strike with a deflected shot in a 2-1 win versus Oregon State and scored the winning tally in a 1-0 victory against Oregon.

G – Joe Galbraith (Whitefish, MT) Northwest-U :: Four saves for a 2-0 win at College of Idaho helped clinch a playoff spot.

D - Tanner French (Sandpoint, ID) Concordia :: Set up the opening goal in a 2-1 win at Northwest Christian.

M - Mikey Wall (Billings, MT) Rocky Mountain :: Scored both goals in a 2-1 overtime victory against Jamestown.

M - Joe Virden (Richland, WA) Whitman :: Trailing by two, he scored both goals in a five minute span to pull even at three each as they went on to win 4-3 at Linfield.

INW Player of the Week :: M - Thomas Chameraud (Poitiers, France) MSU-Billings :: Set up the opening goal and tallied the game-winner with five minutes left for a 2-1 decision against South Dakota School of Mines. He then played a role in all five goals in a 5-1 win against the University of Mary, setting up four goals and tallying one himself.

M - Kyle Emerick (Billings, MT) MSU-Billings :: Scored three goals and tallied an assist in a 5-1 victory against the University of Mary.
Sergio Burgos, Walla Walla CC

M - Jared Fretheim (Spokane, WA) CC Spokane :: Three assists in a 5-1 victory at Wenatchee Valley.

M - Sergio Burgos (Las Vegas, NV) Walla Walla CC :: Scored two goals in a 4-0 victory against CC Spokane.

F - Karl Muelheims (Spokane, WA) Whitworth :: Scored the game-winner for a 1-0 victory at Linfield, clinching the regular season title.

F - Ricardo Carillo (Prineville, OR) Portland :: Struck the winning goal in the final seconds of overtime for a 2-1 road win at Santa Clara and then scored in a 3-2 loss at Saint Mary’s.

F - Peter Isaac (Spokane, WA) CC Spokane :: Hat-trick in a 5-1 victory at Wenatchee Valley.
