CONCACAF announced the groups and schedule Wednesday for the 2013 Gold Cup to be held throughout the United States in July. As stated before, the tournament will feature an unprecedented presence in the northwest with games in Seattle, Portland and Salt Lake City.
All three venues will see at least one of the three North American teams at some point as they host group phase contests. The United States was drawn into Group C and will open in Portland at JELD-WEN Field against Belize in a doubleheader with Costa Rica versus Cuba. The next match for the Americans will be at Rio Tinto Stadium in Utah versus Cuba in the first game of the group's doubleheader. The group will finish up in Hartford, Conn.
Seattle's CenturyLink Field will be home to a continental showdown between Canada and Mexico in the second round of Group A contests in a doubleheader with Panama and Martinique.
