INWsn T4 Round-Up 5.6.18: Tri-Cities Wins EPLWA Debut Match

The visiting Tri-Cities Alliance found a game-winner in stoppage time Saturday night in its first-ever Evergreen Premier League game, winning 3-2 in Spokane.

Evergreen Premier League (EPLWA)

Despite having the better of play in the early going of the contest, Alliance grabbed the early lead 10 minutes in on a long effort from Lenin Guzman. Mike Ramos answered in the 28th minute though when he cut into the box and fired from about 16 yards out.

The Shadow had several great chances to jump in front over the next 10 minutes, including a penalty drawn by Nick Hamer and taken by Ramos that was saved by Antonio Gonzalez, who made a few key stops in the game. Spokane returned to the spot, though, seven minutes later when Garrett Wilson was fouled in the box by the keeper as Hamer had been. This time Tanner Williams converted for the lead.

Spokane continued to control the game until the later stages when Tri-Cities were fighting for an equalizer, which they found in the 80th on a strange, high looping shot from Bryan Vargas that caught Carter Auth wrong-footed, resulting in the ball falling over the line off his hands. Then in the early stages of four minutes of added time another low-driven shot from outside the box by Jason Rodriguez found its way through for the Alliance victory.
