Morgan Weaver put on one of the biggest shows of the week thus far with a hat-trick to lead Washington State to a 3-1 win in the Apple Cup, but the University of Montana is in the midst of a great run in the Big Sky tournament and Haley Berryman (Ephrata, WA / Walla Walla CC) has Minot State on a run as well in the NSIC playoffs.
Here's a recap of the week's action thus far..
## Women's Scores & Notes ##
Pac-12, Mountain West & West Coast Conferences
PAC-12 - Washington 1-3 Washington State :: Morgan Weaver was unstoppable. She scored the first of three with a nice strike in which she drove parallel to the box before firing from about 25 yards with a rocket in the 11th minute. In the 62nd she charged in on a defender along the touchline, forcing a rushed back-pass to the keeper to the side of the six that she misplayed and the sprinting Coug put away into the open goal. The Huskies tallied a minute later but another big hustle play from Morgan capped the contest in the 88th when a high bouncing ball from Maddy Hall out of the back into the open midfield created a race. Weaver charged up the middle and beat two closing defenders to the ball, driving the rest of the way into the box and beating the keeper 15 yards out and finishing into the empty net.

Mountain West Semifinal - San Jose State 1-1 (4-3) Boise State :: Addison Standlee nodded in a corner from Allegra Weeks in the 21st minute but the Spartans equalized in the 43rd on a penalty. The two went the rest of the way deadlocked to take the match to a shootout. Boise State led the shootout 3-2 after three rounds but misses on the final two attempts gave San Jose State the spot in the final.

Big Sky Conference - TOURNAMENT (Ogden, Utah)
Quarterfinal Wednesday - Eastern Washington 1-3 Northern Colorado :: In a rematch of last season's final the Eagles came out and took the lead nine minutes in when Jenny Chavez nodded in a ball from Emma Vanderhyden. UNC, though, answered in the 28th via Cara Quinn and added a pair of goals in the second half with a penalty a minute in and the second in the 76th, both from Mariel Gutierrez.
Quarterfinal Wednesday - Montana 1-0 Northern Arizona :: Janessa Fowler scored the lone goal of the contest courtesy of defender Taylor Hansen 10 minutes into the second half and Claire Howard made two saves for the shutout as the Grizzlies outshot the higher seeded Lumberjacks.
Semifinal Friday - Montana 2-0 Weber State :: Defender Taylor Hansen continued to shine. In addition to helping lead the Griz defense in blanking the top seed and host Wildcats, she set up both goals in the win. Alexa Coyle (Bozeman, MT) collected the ball from her eight minutes in and quickly spun on her defender to fire a shot from about 20 yards for the opener. Hansen and fellow back Taryn Miller (Greenacres, WA) combined on the second, connecting with Janessa Fowler for some insurance in the 32nd. Claire Howard made five saves for her second shutout in the tournament.
Semifinal Friday - Northern Colorado 3-0 Idaho :: Maddie Roberts tallied a goal and assist in the span of 21 seconds in the 23rd minute to propel UNC to the victory. Taylor Bray, who scored the second goal, tallied again in the 59th minute to put the match out of reach.

Semifinal Thursday - Simon Fraser 1-2 Western Washington :: Lindsey Fujiwara broke the stalemate in the 50th minute with a chipped effort from 30 yards to put the top seed in front and after the Clan pulled even in the 80th the Vikings quickly answered two minutes later via Emily Bunnell.
Semifinal Thursday - Seattle Pacific 1-2 Concordia :: Midfielder Kasey Ames (Liberty Lake, WA) gave the Cavaliers the lead seven minutes in and Quinn Williams made it two in the 54th. Sierra Smith (Boise, ID) helped set up a goal for the Falcons in the 85th by Megan Moore, but it was not enough.

Univ of Mary :: After a scoreless draw Wednesday against against top seed and fourth-ranked Bemidji State the Marauders advanced in a nine-round shootout. Caylin Cathey (Billings, MT), Megan Lowery (Hayden, ID / North Idaho College), Sidney Burrell (Rexburg, ID) and Cassidy Pierce (Missoula, MT) all made their attempts. Lowery would score a goal Friday for Mary via Pierce in the NSIC semifinal against Minot State, but it came with eight minutes left as they trailed by three.
Minot State :: Trailing by two 11 minutes in, the Beavers rallied for the victory with Haley Berryman (Ephrata, WA / Walla Walla CC) helping set up the game-winner for a 3-2 victory Wednesday against St Cloud State. Berryman went on to score twice in the second half Friday, netting what proved to be the winner to double the lead in the 57th and the final goal in the 80th to down Mary 3-1 to advance to the NSIC final Sunday.
Army West Point :: Defender Mia Padon (Spokane, WA) played the entire match for the six seed in a 1-0 overtime victory over rival and three seed Navy, going the full 102 minutes for the shutout against a side they lost to 2-1 during the season. Unfortunately top seed Boston was too much in the semifinal, a 3-0 loss, though it took them 40 minutes to get the opening goal.

McNeese State :: The season came to a close for Havana Johnson (Coeur d'Alene, ID) as the four seed Cowgirls were upset 3-1 Wednesday by fifth seed Abilene Christian, which went on to defeat the top seed two days later.
