The Turf War between Mead and Mt Spokane was a memorable one Wednesday night as the two sides put on a show that made you shake your head every few minutes as attempt after attempt to break the stalemate went for naught. Guts, desperation and exceptional skill were on full display.
Meanwhile, Gonzaga Prep was at home spoiling Ferris' hopes of joining the contenders at the top and the young Ridgeline squad showed no fear against Cheney with a big result on the night.
It was written right here not too long ago that this season is a crazy one that will be a wild ride. Stick around.

In a thriller between the two rivals the Panthers took the Turf War title with a save from Mercedes Cullen in the fourth round of the shootout after an already phenomenal night between the pipes. Both sides had numerous chances on a wild night in front of their frenzied, pink-clad student bodies that either went awry, blocked by desperate defensive efforts or just denied by fantastic saves as Cullen and Alyssah Hill finished the night with clean sheets.
