Week 6 Collegiate INW Best XI – Women

INLAND NW SOCCER NEWS BEST XI

G – Gurveen Clair (Surrey, BC) – Washington State University :: Made seven saves in a scoreless draw on the road against second-ranked UCLA.

G – Liz Boyden (Spokane, WA) – Idaho :: Made five saves in a 1-0 victory against visiting Utah Valley to make her senior class the winningest four-year group in the program’s history then posted six saves in a narrow 1-0 loss at UNLV with the lone goal coming off a fluke clearance deflection for an own goal. 

D - Lauren Swanson (Eagle, ID) – Puget Sound :: Scored the lone goal in a 1-0 victory against visiting Linfield and helped lead the team in a third consecutive shutout, blanking Willamette 3-0.

M - Erica Hart (Spokane, WA) – Idaho :: Beat a defender en route to scoring the game-winning goal against Utah Valley, 1-0, to make her senior class the winningest four-year group in the program’s history.

M - Mackenzie Grow (Spokane, WA) – Whitworth :: Scored two game-winning goals on the road, netting the lone strike in overtime for a 1-0 win at George Fox and tallying the opener in a 2-0 victory against Pacific.

M - Brittney Lacey (Boise, ID) – College of Idaho :: Tallied two goals and an assist in a 4-1 victory against visiting Eastern Oregon.

F – Cassie Black (Battle Ground, WA) – Eastern Washington University :: Set up the equalizer and scored the game-winner in a 2-1 home victory against Idaho State.

F - Kaylie Winston (Pasco, WA) - Seattle Pacific :: Scored the game-winning goal with 15 seconds remaining in a 2-1 victory against visiting Western Washington.

F - Jenny Field (Nampa, ID) – Northwest Nazarene :: Posted a hat-trick in a 4-3 overtime victory against visiting Western Oregon, scoring twice to even the score and then adding the third in overtime for the win.

F - Carson McKole (Oak Harbor, WA) – Central Washington :: Scored the final goal in a 3-1 road win against Simon Fraser and scored the 28-yard equalizer in a 1-1 draw on the road against Seattle Pacific.

F - Justine Jones (Boise, ID) – Westminster :: Tallied all three goals in a rally from two down to win 3-2 in overtime on the road against Evergreen.

FANS' CHOICE INW PLAYER OF THE WEEK 

M - Brittney Lacey (Boise, ID) – College of Idaho :: Tallied two goals and an assist in a 4-1 victory against visiting Eastern Oregon. The senior is in her second season with the Yotes after previously playing at Walla Walla CC, where she helped them win the first two of three consecutive championships. She earned All-Conference recognition a year ago in the Cascade Collegiate Conference, finishing tied for first on the team in goals with five and tied for third in overall points.

EDITOR'S CHOICE INW PLAYER OF THE WEEK

 F - Jenny Field (Nampa, ID) – Northwest Nazarene :: In an amazing two-goal comeback, she posted a hat-trick in a 4-3 overtime victory against visiting Western Oregon, scoring twice to even the score and then adding the third in overtime for the win.The hometown girl doubled her goal total for the season with the performance. She led the team in scoring as a sophomore last year with seven goals and three assists after scoring just once in 11 limited appearances as a freshman.
