The Broncos handed the visiting Lobos just their second loss in conference play, but it was not an easy task as they had to rebound from an own goal by Mikhaila Bowden off a cross five minutes into the second half to break the scoreless tie. Boise State replied quickly to cancel out the error, though, with a corner kick finding Katy Oehring, who proceeded to connect with Brooke Heidemann for the equalizer two minutes later. Boise State had the better of play from that point, outshooting the visitors 10-4 in the second half and continued that advantage into overtime, where Baylee Blaser put away a rebound off a blocked shot for the victory in the 108th minute.
