PAC-12 CONFERENCE - WOMEN
Friday, September 5
Washington State 0-0 Pepperdine (@ Hawaii)
The shutout run to start the season continued against the WCC side as Gurveen Clair and the Cougars went the full 110 minutes in the tightly-played scoreless stalemate that saw only 10 combined shots. Clair made three saves. MORE [+]

Washington State 3-1 Hawaii
After giving up their first goal of the season on a 20-yard strike in the 36th, the Cougars rallied in the second half. Cara Wagner found Beau Bremer for a 10-yard finish in the 57th to pull even. Two quick goals gave WSU the win when Kaitlyn Johnson finding the go-ahead strike from the top of the box in the 72nd and Bremer getting her second via rebound when a Mesa Owsley free kick was saved in the 76th. The shutout streak was a school record 798 minutes. MORE [+]
NOTES: Hayley Estopare (Bend, OR) scored the second go-ahead goal for Arizona in a 2-2 draw against Texas A&M Friday.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE - WOMEN
Friday, September 5
Gonzaga 0-1 Cal State Northridge
Battling through a scoreless stalemate, the Zags were done in with just over a minute remaining by an own goal, a cross that came off the head of Lauren Luke. Statistically, it was an even contest with each team registered 12 shots, though the hosts were on target far more often with Christie Tombari registering six saves while the Zags only forced two at the other end. Gonzaga 0-3 UC Irvine
The Zags fell behind early in the seventh minute of the contest and gave up another quick goal in the second half just 14 seconds into the period. A penalty in the 59th put the contest out of reach as the hosts outshot Gonzaga 14-9 on the day. MORE [+]
Fresno State 3-4 Santa Clara
After falling 2-0 to 25th ranked Notre Dame two days prior, the 16th ranked Broncos rebounded with a huge comeback win over the Bulldogs after falling behind 3-1 just before the break. Sofia Huerta (Boise, ID) fueled the rally, beating Domenique Banta (Meridian, ID) three times for a hat-trick. After falling behind in the seventh, she scored her first at the half-hour mark. In the second half Huerta scored four minutes in and again in the 80th on a through ball to even things up with the Broncos finding the winner two minutes later. MORE [+]

Friday, September 5
Gonzaga 0-2 Marquette
The Bulldogs fell behind after five minutes after a rebound of a corner was put away. Marquette dominated the first half with a 13-4 edge in shots and added a second goal in the 43rd, holding on for the win. MORE [+]

Gonzaga 1-2 Wisconsin-Milwaukee
The hosts took the lead in the 18th minute of the contest, but Graison Le answered for the Bulldogs 10 minutes later on a lengthy effort from outside the box. The Panthers, though, found the winner in the 66th. MORE [+]
NOTES: Defender Rafael Sanchez (Selah, WA) played the entire contest for Saint Mary's in a stunning 2-1 overtime upset road win against fourth ranked Washington Sunday... Tyson Fox (Meridian, ID) set up University of the Pacific's first goal in a 3-2 loss at Grand Canyon Saturday.
BIG SKY CONFERENCE / MOUNTAIN WEST CONFERENCE (BSU) - WOMEN
Friday, September 5
Eastern Washington 1-4 Seattle University
Paige Gallaway (Spokane, WA) scored only the second goal ever for the Eagles in seven meetings against the Redhawks 22 minutes into the contest with a fantastic shot from the top of the box. It was the first time the Eagles held the lead against Seattle, who tied it up in the 40th. Hoping to get their first positive result against the Redhawks, the hopes vanished in a five minute span as the hosts scored three from the 56th to 61st minutes. Fellow Spokanite Julia Moravec helped set up Seattle's third goal in the 60th. MORE [+]
The Aggies jumped to a three-goal lead in the first 33 minutes and held on in the second half for the victory. Three minutes into the second half Maria Sanchez (American Falls, ID) drove up the right side and scored from about 12 yards, but the hosts restored the margin of three in the 78th. Less than a minute later the Bengals got their second via Allyssa Kenney in a scramble for the ball off a corner. MORE [+]
Boise State 2-0 Idaho
The Vandals gave up two goals in the first 12 minutes to their visiting in-state rivals, both set up by Kelli Drobney. After serving the corner in, the ball returned out to Drobney, who served it in to the six for Brooke Heidemann (Meridian, ID), who put it in off the underside of the crossbar in the fifth minute. Idaho State 1-4 Boise State
Heidemann and KT Clayton led the Broncos in a dominant performance, scoring a pair of goals each. Heidemann put the hosts up after 14 minutes, scoring from about 10 yards after beating goalkeeper Sheridan Hapsic. Four minutes later she turned provider, crossing the ball in to Clayton for a finish from about eight yards. Heidemann's second - third of the weekend - gave the Broncos a commanding lead in the 63rd when she headed in a Kayla Tucker cross. Eight minutes later Clayton poked a ball past Hapsic from about 20 yards off a through ball from Kelsey Nicassio. Idaho State spoiled the shutout seconds later when Whitney Peterson's (Meridian, ID) cross into the six was buried by Madeline Gochnour. Kara Marbury (Spokane, WA) scored her first collegiate goal, tallying the third goal in Illinois' 3-0 win in the 33rd minute at the College of Charleston Friday... Sarah Wood (Spokane, WA) made six saves each in a 2-1 win at Bowling Green and a 1-0 home loss to Kent State... Former Spokane Shine goalkeeper Caitlin Plese made one save in a 3-0 win at Colorado State Friday and made nine saves before giving up a goal on a corner in the 109th minute to 10th ranked Texas Tech in a 1-0 overtime road loss with Torie Morris (Bend, OR) helping out in the back line.
