INW HS Best XI - Week 1: Peak performers highlighted from early preseason contests

Before the smoke returned to the region and forced numerous cancellations and postponements, there were a handful of non-league preseason contests for the Greater Spokane League, Mid-Columbia Conference and Great Northern League with one another and other regional opponents. Here's a look at the top performers thus far.


For games through Saturday, September 2

F - Kaelyn Barnes (Central Valley) - The senior tallied a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win over Wenatchee.

M - Leighton DeMille (Ferris) - The sophomore set up two goals in a 3-1 victory against East Valley.

M/F - Britney Donais (Kamiakin) - The junior scored the opening goal and set up the game-winner in a dramatic 3-2 overtime win against Gonzaga Prep.

M - Camryn Gardner (Lewis & Clark) - The sophomore tallied two goals and two assists in the Tigers' shocking 9-0 victory over the 2016 MCC regular season champion Southridge.

F - Hannah Haertling (Chiawana) - The senior scored both goals in a 2-0 victory against Lewiston.

F - Ellie Johnson (Mt Spokane) - Currently listed as a JV player, the freshman tallied two goals in a 4-1 victory over Cheney.
