INW Collegiate Recap - Big Sky: Montana and Idaho State show strength on road

It was a good weekend for the road teams as the visiting teams went 6-1-2 away from home. Montana dominated, with two goals and an assist from Erin Craig, and Idaho State picked up a pair of victories on the west coast at Portland State and Sacramento State, becoming the first team in the conference to win consecutive games on the road.

The Bengals, despite being outshot 20-4, registered a surprise result on the road against the conference leaders, handing the Vikings their second loss of the conference campaign. A corner from Vanessa Cabilan found Mikaela Carrillo, who finished with just two seconds remaining in the first half. Katie Flynn delivered a cross in the 67th minute that Kiley Godfrey put away to double the lead. The hosts attempted to rally, but could only find one strike from Amanda Howie, who nodded in an Amanda Dutra corner in the 80th. -  MORE
