LD Update: Minnesota takes 2-0 lead in NASL Championship

After a season in which they struggled against Tampa Bay, the Minnesota Stars yet again picked up a win in the postseason, snaring a two-goal lead halfway through the NASL championship series.

Amani Walker broke a stalemate highlighted by outstanding play of both goalkeepers in the 67th minute when he finally beat Jeff Attinella with a one-timer off a square ball from Simone Bracalello that blazed its way in just under the crossbar.

The Stars picked up what could be a crucial insurance tally in stoppage time when Connor Tobin redirected a Bracalello cross toward goal that Martin Nunez guided over the line. - MORE
