INW Best XI - Week 10: Galbraith, Lilly lead Northwest & CBC to victories

Each week INWsoccernews will release lists of the week’s best performances for men’s and women’s soccer in the region, recognizing players at schools in the region or those from the area that play elsewhere in the nation.

For games of October 21-27

BEST OF THE INLAND NORTHWEST XI - MEN

G - Stuart Ellsworth - Whitman :: Made three saves while leading the Missionaries defense to the 1-0 overtime shutout victory. (Bellevue, WA)

INW MEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK :: G - Joe Galbraith (Whitefish, MT) - Northwest University :: Made three saves in an easy 4-0 victory over Oregon Tech, but his seven stops were far more critical in a 1-0 overtime decision against College of Idaho.

G - Curtis Hill (Spokane, WA) - CC Spokane :: Made key saves to keep game scoreless in the critical early and late stages as the Bigfoot blanked Wenatchee Valley 2-0 and then made another four saves in a 5-0 win against Treasure Valley.

G - Cody Lang (Spokane, WA) - Seattle Pacific :: Led the Falcons to a pair of shutout victories, blanking Mary 2-0 and South Dakota Mines 1-0.

G - Antonio Madera (Yakima, WA) - Wenatchee Valley :: Made 11 saves in a scoreless draw at Columbia Basin.

D - Will Wren - Whitworth :: Helped lead the team in a pair of shutout performances and registered an assist in each game as they won 2-0 at Pacific and 6-0 at George Fox. (Evans, GA)

M - Alex Barsher - Whitman :: Scored both goals in a 2-1 victory at George Fox. (Seattle, WA)

M - Ariel Gonzalez (Pasco, WA) - Walla Walla CC :: Set up the first two goals of the contest in a 3-0 victory against Treasure Valley.

M - Sam Selisch - Whitworth :: Scored both goals in the 2-0 victory at Pacific. (Port Townsend, WA)

F - Jordan Byland (Missoula, MT) - Great Falls :: Set up two of the team's goals in a 4-2 victory over rival Rocky Mountain College.

F - Devin Leon - CC Spokane :: Scored the opening goal in a 2-0 victory over Wenatchee Valley and also tallied the first and third goals in a 5-0 win against Treasure Valley. (Phelan, CA)

BEST OF THE INLAND NORTHWEST XI - WOMEN

G - Kayla Lipston - Central Washington :: Made 10 saves in a scoreless draw at Western Oregon. (Federal Way, WA)

M - Mauriana Gonzalez - Eastern Oregon :: Scored the game-winner and set up the team's fourth in a 4-2 victory over Northwest Christian, and scored the go-ahead goal against title contender Corban in what ended up a 2-1 loss. (Elko, NV)

INW WOMEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK :: M - Mykenzie Lilly (Benton City, WA) - Columbia Basin :: Scored twice in a 6-0 victory at Yakima Valley and netted a hat-trick in the team's 4-2 win against Wenatchee Valley, including both goals after the Knights made things level at two each.

M - Nicole Setterlund - Washington State :: Scored a pair of goals, the second and third, in a 4-0 victory at Arizona. (Surrey, BC)

M - Taylor Strasser (Spokane, WA) - CC Spokane :: Set up three goals in the 8-0 victory over Wenatchee Valley and set up a fourth in the 4-0 victory against Treasure Valley.

M - India Watne - Montana :: Her corner led to the Grizzlies only goal in a 2-1 loss to Northern Arizona and she went on to lead them to a 3-1 win over Southern Utah with the opening goal and an assist on the third. (Los Angeles, CA)

M - Cara Wegner - Washington State :: Scored the opening goal in a pair of shutout wins on the road, making them game-winners as they defeated Arizona 4-0 and Arizona State 1-0. (Everett, WA)

M - Chandler Yost (Pocatello, ID) - Southern Utah :: Set up a pair of goals in a 3-0 victory at Eastern Washington.

M/F - Tori Fedora - Eastern Oregon :: Scored an equalizer and helped set up the game-winner in a 4-2 victory over Northwest Christian in which she also scored the final tally. (Pittsburgh, PA)

F - Tasha Luu (Colville, WA) - CC Spokane :: Scored three goals in the first 24 minutes as the Bigfoot rolled to the 8-0 win against Wenatchee Valley.

F - Delaney Romero (Yakima, WA) - Walla Walla CC :: Scored the second and third goals in the 3-0 victory over Treasure Valley and added two more goals, both in the first half, to her tally for the week in a 12-1 win over Yakima Valley.
