The North Idaho College women joined their men's counterpart in the postseason with a pair of road wins while the men wrapped up their regular season campaign with a pair of road wins over NWAACC sides.
NWAACC EAST - MEN
Wednesday, October 16
Wenatchee Valley 1 :: 5 Walla Walla
Trailing since the Warriors took the lead on a goal from Jose Herrera-Torres off a ball from Cesar Rodriguez (Yakima, WA) in the 23rd, the Knights kept the division leaders in check, at least until halftime beckoned. Mario Guizar (Kennewick, WA) scored a minute before the break and the Warriors ran away with the result with three goals in a seven-minute span before the hour mark. Jhony Mendoza (Yakima, WA) started the spree in the 52nd when he hit Franky Arroyo (Yakima, WA) and Rodriguez found Saif Al Rikabi two minutes later with Guizar scoring another unassisted goal in the 58th. Fabian Alvarez spoiled the shutout in the 72nd minute.
Columbia Basin 0 :: 3 Spokane
Brian Clark scored two early goals in the 17th and 22nd minutes on balls from Jared Fretheim (Spokane, WA) and Devin Leon, but it was the effort of goalkeeper Curtis Hill (Spokane, WA), who had a fantastic night in goal against a Hawks side that created numerous scoring opportunities at the other end. Treasure Valley 3 :: 1 Wenatchee Valley
Everardo Bartolo (Blackfoot, ID) put the Chukars in front after 20 minutes and the two sides were stuck in a stalemate until the final 10 minutes. The two sides exchanged goals in the span of the 81st minute with Robbie Smith (La Grande, OR) netting for the Chukars and Mauricio Perez (East Wenatchee, WA) for the the Knights. Mwungura Muyumbe (Boise, ID) clinched the victory with an insurance goal three minutes later.
Walla Walla 2 :: 0 Columbia Basin
A pair of first half goals from Michael Mollay (Boise, ID) and Mario Guizar (Kennewick, WA) in the 22nd and 43rd minutes of the contest was all the Warriors needed with Derek Carver making three stops for the shutout.

The Bigfoot dominated from the opening whistle and Tasha Luu (Colville, WA) put them in front when she rose to nod home a Lindsay DeHaas (Spokane, WA) corner 24 minutes in. Rashelle Fisher doubled the lead a minute into the second half on a ball rom Brittany Bruegeman (Spokane, WA) and Mykenzie Lilly surprised the hosts in the 66th with the assistance of Yesenia Alvarado (Richland, WA). Fisher turned provider for the final goal in the 74th, though it was the individual work of Luu on the run capped by an excellent shot that sealed it. INWsn REPORT
Yakima Valley 0 :: 2 Treasure Valley
The first eight minutes decided the contest as Bailey Waite put the Chukars on the board in the second minute and Alexandra Jahns (Twin Falls, ID) found Regan Hyde (Preston, ID) in the eighth to double the lead. Kelsey Blacks took it the rest of the way with five saves for the shutout.
Wenatchee Valley 0 :: 6 Walla Walla
Delaney Romero (Yakima, WA) scored in the 23rd minute and Brigit Lyons (Walla Walla, WA) set up Oryian Matheny (Grandview, WA) nine minutes later for a two-goal halftime advantage. Marais Hicks (Pocatello, ID) scored twice in the first quarter-hour of the second half with the first coming via Shauntice Perrigo's aid. Romero then added her second with the assistance of Olivia Rodgers (East Wenatchee, WA), who went on to add a goal of her own with five minutes left on a ball from Matheny. Aiko Johnson only made two saves in the shutout.

Walla Walla 1 :: 0 Columbia Basin
The Hawks nearly surprised Walla Walla with Dakota Wickard (Pullman, WA) making 17 saves, but one got past her with 20 minutes left as Alli Madril (Boise, ID) saved the Warriors from dropping points in the race for the East title. At the other end Aiko Johnson only made two saves for the clean sheet.
Treasure Valley 4 :: 4 Wenatchee Valley
In a wild affair, the two exchanged goals early on followed by a stunning late rally. The Chukars grabbed the opener on the road three minutes in through Ellena Fajardo (Eagle, ID), but the Knights pulled even just a minute later when London Cleverly (Moses Lake, WA) found Itzel Castro (Wenatchee, WA). Treasure Valley's Regan Hyde (Preston, ID) restored the lead in the 17th and then turned provider on Dakota Chapman's (Payette, ID) strike just a minute later. Hyde netted her second goal in the 45th to push the lead to three, but it proved to not be enough as the hosts scored three times in a six-minute span late in the match thanks to Daniela Vargas (Wenatchee, WA). Vargas set up Castro for her second in the 72nd and then scored herself two minutes later before capping the comeback in the 77th by finding Alma Franco for the equalizer.
Yakima Valley 0 :: 5 Spokane
Tasha Luu (Colville, WA) found Rainey Pelzel for the opener seven minutes in, but that was all the Bigfoot could muster in the first half against the pointless Yaks. The second half was a different story as Luu scored twice early on, netting the first on a ball from Rashelle Fisher seven minutes into the half and the second courtesy of Pelzel in the 59th. Taylor Strasser (Spokane, WA) connected with Sarah Marro (Spokane, WA) for the final tally in the 89th.

The Cardinals used three first half goals to secure the first win of the final week of regular season play. Adam Talley (Newman Lake, WA) put them ahead after 20 minutes off a through ball from Adam Garman (Coeur d'Alene, ID) and nine minutes later Isaiah Van Voorhis (Liberty Lake, WA) put away a rebound. Dylan Allen (Helena, MT) made it three in the 39th and John Ray (Boise, ID) jukes past a player to feed Talley for his second in the 71st minute. After scoring twice the day before, Adam Talley (Newman Lake, WA) turned provider three minutes in when he found John Ray (Boise, ID) for the opener. David Loeung put away a loose ball in the aftermath of a corner to level things for the hosts, but after a pair of close calls by Talley late Rodger Bucknor collected the ball from Shane Stanley (Sagle, ID) in the box, beat a defender and slotted the ball into the left corner of the goal with 30 seconds to spare for the victory. Tiffany Draper (Meridian, ID) battled with a defender smothering her to drop the ball off to Emilee Cordon (Coeur d'Alene, ID) three minutes into the contest for the opening tally and Natalie Middleton (Liberty Lake, WA) doubled the advantage with a shot from just shy of the circle at midfield that found paydirt. Ellie Engel (Sandpoint, ID) made a fantastic run in the second half to set up the opening tally, splitting a pair of defenders and drawing out a third and the goalkeeper before slipping the ball to Emilee Cordon (Coeur d'Alene, ID) for an open goal finish from the spot. Fifteen minutes later Kellsi Parson's (Lewiston, ID) diagonal ball over the defense put Cordon inside the area for the second goal of the game and Tiffany Draper (Meridian, ID) made it a three-goal difference on a ball from Jaimee Hulst (Helena, MT), who added a goal of her own two minutes later courtesy of Morgan Kuehl as the Cardinals enjoyed a postseason-clinching victory.
