INW Best XI - Week 7: Goalkeepers Caballero & Siegl lead Gonzaga, Idaho to positive road results

Each week INWsoccernews will release lists of the week’s best performances for men’s and women’s soccer in the region, recognizing players at schools in the region or those from the area that play elsewhere in the nation.

Ryan Caballero
INW MEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK :: G - Ryan Caballero - Gonzaga :: Registered 15 saves with only one goal allowed in 220 minutes as he led the Zags to a 1-1 draw at Saint Mary's and 0-0 tie at San Francisco. (Sunnyvale, CA)

G - Curtis Hill (Spokane, WA) - CC Spokane :: Made five saves in a 1-0 victory at Wenatchee Valley.

G - Cody Lang (Spokane, WA) - Seattle Pacific :: Made seven saves on the weekend, posting five in a stunning 2-1 victory over top-ranked Simon Fraser and another two in a 1-1 draw against Western Washington.

D - Yan Gioseffi - College of Idaho :: Tallied a goal and an assist on a pair of free kicks in a 2-1 win over Evergreen. (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)

D - Haley Klarich (Helena, MT) - MSU-Billings :: Scored the opening two goals as the Yellowjackets picked up a 4-2 win over South Dakota Mines, and then scored the lone goal in a 1-0 victory over University of Mary.

M - Colton Grytness (Rathdrum, ID) - Oregon Tech :: The freshman set up the opening goal with a corner kick for a 2-0 victory over Northwest Christian and helped lead them to a 1-0 victory over Northwest University.

Danny Delgadillo
F - Rodger Bucknor - North Idaho College :: Set up the lone goal with a great run past several defenders in a 1-0 victory over Columbia Basin and tallied a goal in a 4-0 win over CC Spokane. (Portmore, Jamaica)

F - Danny Delgadillo - Great Falls :: Scored the opening goal in a pair 2-1 losses on the road. (Long Beach, CA)

F - Mario Guizar (Kennewick, WA) - Walla Walla CC :: Scored twice in a 6-0 victory at Treasure Valley.

F - Fredy Razo - Northwest Nazarene :: Tallied a goal and set up two others as the Crusaders rolled to a 4-0 win against University of Mary added another goal to the tally in a 3-0 win over South Dakota Mines. (Irvine, CA)

F - Adam Talley (Newman Lake, WA) - North Idaho College :: Scored the lone goal in the 1-0 win over Columbia Basin and recorded a goal and assist in the 4-0 win over CC Spokane.


INW WOMEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK :: G - Marina Siegl - Idaho :: Made 20 combined stops in a pair of games on the road, earning a 1-0 victory at Utah Valley and suffering a 1-0 loss at CSU-Bakersfield. (Uffing, Germany)

Kailey Edgar
D - Chelsie Breen (Cheney, WA) - Idaho :: Helped lead the Vandals to a quality defensive effort on the road, allowing one goal as they posted a 1-0 victory at Utah Valley before suffering a 1-0 loss at CSU-Bakersfield.

M - Kailey Edgar (Star, ID) - Carroll :: Scored the final two goals in a 4-1 victory at the University of Jamestown.

M - Erin Huisingh (Pasco, WA) - Concordia :: Tallied the opening goal and added an assist in a 5-1 win over College of Idaho.

M - Tera McDonough (Boise, ID) - Corban :: Scored the game-winner in a 2-1 victory at Oregon Tech from 25 yards and then was involved in all three goals, scoring one and setting up the others, in a 5-3 loss at Southern Oregon.

Mesa Owsley
M - Mesa Owsley - Washington State :: Tallied a goal and assist in a 2-0 victory at USC. (Fort Collins, CO)

F - Yesenia Alvarado (Richland, WA) - Columbia Basin :: Completed the Hawks' rally from two down with the equalizer and scored the game-winner as they downed Yakima Valley 3-2.

F - Cassie Black - Eastern Washington :: Her game-winner in overtime, for a 2-1 victory against Sacramento State, made her the program's all-time leading scorer. (Battle Ground, WA)

F - Camas Curran (Meridian, ID) - College of Idaho :: Scored twice in a 3-2 victory at Warner Pacific.

F - Amanda Ellsworth - Idaho State :: Gave the Bengals the initial lead in a 2-1 loss at Northern Arizona and netted the opener as well in a 2-0 victory at Southern Utah. (Roseville, CA)

F - Chelsea Shuman (Kalispell, MT) - MSU-Billings :: Rallied the Yellowjackets to the win with the equalizer and an assist on the winner in a 2-1 victory at Saint Martin's.
