INW College Recap - Week 7: GNAC & NWC - MSUB & NNU men pick up weekend sweeps

In the GNAC this week both MSU-Billings and Northwest Nazarene men's sides swept their respective pair of games, but the big result was the 2-1 victory goalkeeper Cody Lang (Spokane, WA) helped lead Seattle Pacific to over top-ranked Simon Fraser. Meanwhile in the NWC it was a rough road week for Whitman and Whitworth with only two points between the four teams as the Pirates picked up a pair of draws at Pacific Lutheran.

South Dakota Mines 2 :: 4 MSU-Billings
It looked like it was going to be a tight contest between the two winless sides with Haley Klarich's goal on a ball from Aodhan Brownlee in the 31st minute for MSUB serving as the lone goal in the first half, but the second half turned into a completely different game. Klarich (Helena, MT) scored his second of the game courtesy of Landon Horst six minutes in, but the two-goal home lead was not enough as the visitors rallied to pull even by the 68th minute. The Yellowjackets answered right back to reclaim the lead though with Michael Aringer converting from the spot after a handball, and Sam Butterworth secured their first win of the campaign with a strike from 20 yards in the 81st.
