The Vandals found themselves trailing on the road early in the contest, but rallied to post their second consecutive 5-1 victory with Emma Eddy hitting for a hat-trick in the second half.

Rachel Leonard scored on a free kick in the 16th minute to give the Hornets the early advantage, but Clara Gomez put away a cross from Josilyn Daggs in the 29th minute to even things up. Seven minutes later Gomez converted a penalty to give Idaho the lead going into halftime.

Eddy took over in the second half, scoring off a rebounded save of a Megan Goo shot in the 52nd minute. She added two more in the final minutes of the contest. The Wildcats came into the game with a 3-1-0 record, but their three-game win streak consisted of wins against the bottom two sides in the Big Sky and mid-table Northern Arizona. Montana outshot the visitors 10-5 in the first half, but the lone goal of the half came from Madison Adams in the 11th minute when she headed in a cross from Chanelle Pederson. In the second half Adams combined with Ashlee Pedersen in the 67th to set up Kaitlin Crowell, who nodded in another cross to double the lead.
