Two of the four classic GSL rivalry showdowns on the night were decided by one goal and a third went to a shootout to determine a winner Wednesday evening as the league played its midway point games. Central Valley edged University 3-2, Mead rallied against Mt Spokane 2-1 and North Central nabbed the tiebreaker against Shadle Park after a 1-1 stalemate. Lewis & Clark also grabbed South Hill bragging rights with a 2-0 win over Ferris.
On Tuesday, MCC juggernaut Kamiakin experienced their first moment of trailing in a match versus mid-table Hanford, which tallied the lone goal of the first half. The Braves, though, ran away with another win to stay perfect in the second half.
Also rallying for a win Tuesday was Cheney, which avoided an upset at Clarkston.
## Mid-Columbia Conference ##
Kamiakin 3-1 Hanford :: The hosts grabbed the early lead on a great play from Emily Sondag, who stole the ball from a Kamiakin defender and drove the goal toward goal before unleashing from outside the box. The Falcons had the surprising lead at halftime, but it didn't last long in the second half as a challenge on the ball six minutes in saw it pop out to Izzy Conover for the equalizer. Four minutes later Brielle Schneider put the Braves in front on a long shot the goalkeeper was unable to fully grab as it went in. Then a long-range free kick that the keeper tried to clear allowed Maddie Morgan to get on the board off the rebound to wrap things up.

Southridge 5-3 Walla Walla :: Taylor McGill put the Blue Devils on the board 12 minutes in but a counter by the Suns evened things up and they took the lead a short time later. Katie Hassler tied it back up before the break but a penalty put the Suns in front again early in the second half and they pushed the lead to two midway through the period on a deflection. Madi Darnold made it a one-goal game again when she put away a shot by McGill that rebounded off the crossbar only to see Southridge add some insurance via a corner.

Shadle Park 1-2 (SO) North Central :: Olivia Wicks put the Highlanders on the board first with a breakaway down the left side in the 19th minute, finishing from about 10 yards. Early in the second half NC evened things up when Mackenzie Letsch was taken down in the box while challenging for a throw-in. She would convert moments later from the spot. The two sides looked destined for a shootout throughout the contest in the tight affair and would end up there. North Central shot first and their keeper Payton Flannery pushed Shadle's first attempt up off the bar for a save. Two more NC conversions followed by Highlander misses clinched matters after just three rounds.

In the 50th she took the ball from Camryn Gardner and went on a run behind the back line and beat the keeper one-on-one, lifting the ball over the keeper with the outside of her foot.

## Northeast A League ##
Riverside 1-4 Freeman :: Battling through a rash of injuries that includes keeper Hannah Pylant and several defenders, the Scotties continue to use their core attacking threats to roll through the opposition from the bottom half of the table. They spotted the Rams a goal first, however, when a defender played an errant pass back to the keeper that went in the goal for the only tally of the first half. Two minutes into the second, though, Lindsay Balkenbush scored her 12th of the season with a shot to the upper left corner to tie it up off a through ball from Riley Hawley, who beat her defender on the play. Hawley would go on to score one of her own and set up another from Balkenbush.
