COLLEGE SCOREBOARD - September 5-8

Results and notes for matches played by schools around the INWsn region and INWsn area players elsewhere.

NCAA

9/5 DI - Hawaii 2-0 Idaho State... Dani Crawford (Moses Lake, WA) set up the goal that broke the stalemate in the 77th with the visitors adding another in the 88th to ensure the win.

9/7 DII - Northwest Nazarene 1-3 San Francisco State... Ashley Cook-Cox (Spokane, WA) evened the game back up in the second half when she put the ball away off a scramble in the box in the 59th, but the hosts found late goals in the 87th and 89th to snare the win.
9/7 DII - Central Washington 2-1 Northwest University... Host team switched due to the air conditions, the Wildcats prevailed on the road with a second half rally. Emily Russell (Kennewick, WA) found Lexsi Manning with a cross in the 60th to tie things up and Whitney Lowe headed in a ball from Jordan Engman in the 85th for the winner.

9/8 DI Cal State Northridge 0-3 Washington State... Morgan Weaver scored in her third consecutive game in the sixth minute on a ball from Makamae Gomera-Stevens, who tallied herself less than two minutes later when she intercepted a poor clearance at the top of the box. Five minutes into the second half Brianna Alger added the third. Ella Dederick needed just one save for the clean sheet.
9/8 Oregon 1-0 Idaho... Makayla Presgrave (Saint Maries, ID) made six saves for the Vandals, but a goal in the 59th was all the Ducks needed to take the win.
9/8 Montana 0-1 Iowa... A controversial handball penalty in the 33rd decided the outcome as the Griz fell 1-0 to a Big Ten team for the second time this week after also battling #14 Nebraska in a tight contest Sunday.
9/8 Santa Clara 1-2 #12 USC... Kelsey Turnbow (Spokane, WA) drove into the box and tallied the opener for the Broncos in the 25th minute, but the 12th-ranked Trojans answered with two in the second half.
9/8 DIII - Linfield 8-2 Warner Pacific (NAIA)... Amidee Colleknon (Bend, OR) set up a goal and tallied late in the game for Linfield.
9/8 DI - Southern 0-4 Mc Neese... Havana Johnson (Coeur d'Alene, ID) scored the second goal of the match.
9/8 DI - Boise State 0-2 Washington... A pair of goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half gave the Huskies the win.
9/8 DI - West Point 1-0 Air Force... Mia Padon (Spokane, WA) helped lead the defense as they blanked the hosts.
9/8 DII - Colorado Christian 0-1 Mary... Caylin Cathey (Billings, MT) converted a penalty in the 104th to nab the win.
9/8 DII - CSUSB 1-3 Regis... Maggie Saras (Boise, ID) put the Rangers in front in the 56th and Rikki Fix (Boise, ID) set up an insurance tally in the 89th.
9/8 DII - Black Hills State 1-4 MSU-Billings... Six minutes after giving up the opener, Alycia Wright equalized on a long shot in the 14th. Nine minutes into the second half she put them in front via Courteney Shovlin (Great Falls, MT). Lizzy Light (Billings, MT) hit Jordan Devoto (Willsall, MT) with a through ball for the third four minutes later and Alexa Iacolucci curled a 25-yard free kick home in the 61st.

NAIA
9/8 Eastern Oregon 0-0 Puget Sound (DIII)... The Mountaineers went the distance on the road against the Loggers with Val Gaffney (Colbert, WA) making three saves for the road shutout.
9/8 Pacific 1-3 College of Idaho... Trailing since the ninth minute, the Yotes rallied in the second half. Sabrina Mallett nodded in a Hailey Woods (Meridian, ID) corner in the 52nd and things were level until the late stages. Cameron Coyle (Boise, ID) chipped the keeper in the 82nd for the lead and Hailey Boyd (Boise, ID) sprung a breakaway that Katelyn Benavidez finished one-on-one with the keeper in the 84th.
9/8 Providence (Great Falls) 1-6 Rocky Mountain College... It was a game of two halves in the Montana showdown as a scoreless game gave way to seven in the second half. Tiara Duford scored twice in the span of less than three minutes and Lauryn Gamache did the same in a span of less than five as the two tallied went back-and-forth celebrating. Duford opened the series of strikes in the 55th with Gamache in the 57th on a free kick. Duford got her second - both on balls from Hannah Borgel - in the 58th and Gamache made it four in the 61st. Eme McLaughlin (Great Falls, MT) converted from the spot for the Argos in the 67th before RMC added goals via Mhari Smith and Gabi Heflin (Billings, MT) on assists from Amber Pearson and Sami Kratofil.
9/8 Hope International 0-3 Embry-Riddle AU... Ashtin Martinson (Deer Park, WA) scored the opening goal.

NWAC
9/6 South Puget Sound 3-3 Everett... Down one Emmanuel Hidalgo (Mattawa, WA) tied things up in the 32nd and then pushed the lead to two to cap a nice 10-minute span for the visitors in the 41st.

9/7 DII - Northwest Nazarene 2-0 Cal State Dominguez Hills... Carlo Rodriguez-Diaz scored on a ball from Michael Bryant in the 18th minute and Jacob Hillyer in goal maintained the advantage with four saves until Bryant took advantage of a goalkeeping miss with five minutes left for some insurance.
9/7 DIII - Whitman 1-0 Ramapo... Peter Stephens scored 10 minutes into the contest for the Missionaries, who controlled the contest with a 23-4 shots advantage only to go without any insurance. Owen Davis-Bower, though, only needed one save for the shutout.

9/8 DII - #10 Cal Poly Pomona 4-0 MSU-Billings... The Yellowjackets trailed by just one at the break, but gave up three in the second half.

NAIA
9/5 Eastern Oregon 1-0 Puget Sound... Oscar Munoz scored in the 37th minute and Aidan Wright made four saves to keep the Loggers off the board in the shutout.

9/8 College of Idaho 5-1 Simpson... The Yotes rolled to a big win on the road with a three-goal lead in the opening half-hour. Carter Perry (Boise, ID) scored the first in the fifth minute and after a Xander Escobedo (Twin Falls, ID) goal set up by Bekir Cinac (Boise, ID) in the 23rd he scored his second in the 30th via Lucas Schlake (Boise, ID). Perry finished his hat-trick 20 seconds into the second half and Escobedo set up Jacob Hurter in the 79th to cap the contest.
9/8 Presentation 0-14 Carroll... It was no contest. A Jose Porras penalty in the 11th started the route that saw Sam Malouf (Meridian, ID) score six times and set up four. Porras had four along with Rodrigo Portillo and Jose Mena notched three. Isaac Bostrom (Helena, MT), Nicolas Kyriacos and Pablo Salamanca tallied twice with Jonathan Taylor (Missoula, MT), Alessio Georgiades, Eric Hollenbaugh (Spokane, WA), Henry Smaldon (Spokane, WA), Kyle Thomson (Bigfork, MT) and Chris Brayton (Bozeman, MT) adding one each.
