HS Daily - 9.24.17: Hanford Tops Walla Walla in Thriller

In a thriller, Hanford got back on the winning track against a valiant Walla Walla side that rallied from two down before falling to the Falcons. In a battle of two of the bottom sides, the Pasco Bulldogs were unable to get their first win, falling in a tight contest against Southridge.

Walla Walla 2-3 Hanford 
Payton Thompson put the Falcons on the board in the 20th minute and Jessica Maher scored 10 minutes later to double the lead, but the Blue Devils got a key goal just before the break with Katelyn Hassler getting one in the 39th. Makena Rietz then equalized in the 57th for the visitors. The rally was all for naught though as Cassie Baune struck for the winner in the 65th.

(1A) Medical Lake 0-4 Pullman (2A) 
Hailey Talbot scored in the ninth minute and then it became the Abby Tingstad show. She set up Peyton Teevens a minute before the intermission and then set up two more goals in the second half, finding Brenna Utzman in the 57th and 66th minutes. Jocelyn Gross recorded the shutout.
