Meanwhile, the return of Summer Yates is the storyline of the Mid-Columbia Conference. She scored two more for the Riverhawks as Chiawana gave Hanford its first loss of the campaign. At the other end of the table, Southridge and Kennewick played a thriller in which the Suns made an amazing comeback for the win in the final 22 minutes.
In the NEA, the Scotties are the definition of #FreemanStrong. In their return to play they posted two big shutout victories, tallying 11 goals.

Mid-Columbia Conference
9/21 Walla Walla 0-4 Kamiakin
The Braves moved to 5-0 on the season. Mikayla Hunter put the hosts on the board in the first half before they ran away with the victory in the second on a goal from Maddie Morgan and a pair from Izzy Conover.
9/21 Richland 2-0 Pasco
Keeping pace with the Braves, the Bombers picked up the win in a contest that was close against the winless Bulldogs. A penalty from Megan Haugen opened the scoring. She went on to set up Tory Romero for some insurance. Emily McDonald and Hannah Hagler combined for the shutout.
9/21 Chiawana 3-1 Hanford
Playing catch-up in the table, the Riverhawks posted a huge win over previously unbeaten Hanford. The hosts got on the board first, though, through Rylee Matheny. Ruthie Edrington became the first to tally against the Falcons in league play this season. In the second half Summer Yates scored twice to give Chiawana the win to move to 3-3 in the MCC.
9/21 Kennewick 3-4 Southridge
In a thrilling affair between two of the bottom sides, the Lions grabbed the lead early and took a two goal lead in to the final 25 minutes before the Suns posted an amazing rally via Rylie Franklin and Maleah Hill. Franklin scored in the 68th and 76th minutes on assists from Hill with the two reversing roles on the middle tally in the 73rd.

9/21 West Valley 1-2 Pullman
The Greyhounds picked up their first win of the year. Abby Tingstad scored the opener in the 32nd and set up Hannah Hawk in the second half for what proved to be the winner with Madeline Liberg scoring for the Eagles.
9/21 Cheney 1-4 East Valley
The Knights moved to 3-0 in a game dominated by Chloe Gellhaus. She scored the opener four minutes before the break and set up a second two minutes later by Kelsy Ross. In the second half she set up goals by Gracie Montoya and Alexa Oliver on either side of a Makenna Benson tally for Cheney.
Northeast A League
9/21 Newport 0-6 Freeman
In their first game back since the tragic event the previous week, the Scotties rolled to an easy win at home. Kassidy Reilly scored five minutes in and Macy Luhr tallied in the 18th via Peyton Brewer. Kylie Nelson made it three in the 32nd and Brewer pushed it to four before the break. Nelson added her second in the second half with Chloe Thosath capping things two minutes from time. Hannah Pylant and Amanda Flory combined for the shutout.
9/21 Colville 0-9 Lakeside
The Eagles were soaring Thursday. Alexis Torok scored twice in the first 15 minutes and then set up defensive midfielder Payton Stueckle, who tallied on a fantastic upper corner strike from long distance. It was the first of several on the day for the hosts. Maddie Hall fed Emma Spence in the 27th with Spence returning the favor three minutes later. Stueckle added two more for a hat-trick with one on each side of the break. Jordyn Newman and Spence rounded out the scoring as Payton Williams finished her shutout performance with little challenge.
9/21 Deer Park 4-0 Riverside
Through secondary sources, the Stags picked up the win with Emmy Moore tallying two goals and two assists. No further details available.
9/22 Medical Lake 0-5 Freeman
Five different players scored for the Scotties with Claire Love finishing with a goal and assist. Macy Luhr, Brynn Van Orden, Peyton Brewer and Riley Hawley scored with Hannah Pylant recording the shutout.
Greater Spokane League
9/22 North Central 0-1 SO University
For the second consecutive game against a 4A opponent, the Indians and Payton Flannery finished with a shutout. After surprising LC in the opener Wednesday, they wen the distance with the Titans, who were led by Madi Szanfransky in goal at the other end. University, though, would technically come away with the victory via a shootout that finished 4-2 in their favor.
9/22 Ferris 2-3 OT Mt Spokane
In a back-and-forth affair, it was the second upset this week from a 3A school as the Wildcats came away with the overtime result. Amber Hickman scored three minutes in to give the hosts the lead, but Ferris answered through Yacine Bitibale. Emily Williams converted a penalty with seven left in the contest to put the Wildcats back in front, but the Saxons again pulled even with Jill Calkins scoring with just seconds remaining to force overtime. Williams would score the golden goal seven minutes in courtesy of Payton Stiles.
9/22 Lewis & Clark 2-0 Gonzaga Prep
The Tigers bounced back from the season opening falter with a win against fellow title contender Prep despite having switched home venues due to the waterlogged conditions at Hart Field. Carolyn Moravec scored the opener in the 26th and Paige Malm converted a penalty five minutes later. Jessica Quacquarini and Erin Carney combined for the shutout.
9/22 Mead 1-4 Central Valley
Maggie Ames scored in the 16th and set up Kaelyn Barnes two minutes later. Margo Schoesler scored three minutes before the break to cut the deficit, but Megan Robertson and Michael Pitts put things out of reach in the second half.
9/22 Shadle Park 8-0 Rogers
The Highlanders cruised to the win with Olivia Wicks scoring the first two in the first 12 minutes. Five different players finished off the scoring with Leah Kincaid leading the effort with two. Katie Benjamin, Paige Klein, Kylie Somerday and Emilie Tangeman scored the others. Wicks, Somerday and Benjamin also had assists. Hannah Johnson recorded the shutout.
