Round-Up of Friday's action...

Women's Scores & Notes

Boise State 2-0 Eastern Washington :: McKenna Kynett scored on a nice individual effort 10 minutes into the contest and Raimee Sherle (Meridian, ID) converted a penalty in the 54th after she was fouled in the box. Tara Fisher only needed three stops for the shutout. View More in Gameday [+]

Gonzaga 3-1 Oregon State :: Delayed by an overtime affair for the OSU men, it proved worth the wait for the Zags. Sam Heilman (Richland, WA) set up a pair of goals in the opening nine minutes to give the Bulldogs a commanding lead, finding India Jencks for the opener in the fourth and Sophia Viviano, who also played a role in the first, five minutes later. Heilman and Viviano combined again in the 69th to connect with Callie Best (Spokane, WA) for the third as the Zags cruised to the win, coming up just under two minutes shy of the shutout.

Whitworth 2-1 (OT) Franklin & Marshall :: Kelly Wucherer put away the rebound of her own shot nine minutes into the contest to give the Pirates a lead they would hold for over an hour before the hosts tied it up in the 78th. The match moved onto overtime and nearly finished level, but Rachel Wofford put away a cross from Lauren Hepler for the win with just 46 seconds remaining.

Washington State 2-1 Nebraska :: A penalty gave the Cornhuskers the lead in the 22nd minute that stood into the second half. Elyse Bennett dribbled in and fired on goal from 20 yards to tie it up in the 55th and 10 minutes later Alysha Overland (Moses Lake / CC Spokane), back from missing last season to injury, provided the game-winner after a steal from Brianna Alger.

Whitman 0-5 Chicago :: The Blues kept the second-ranked hosts off the board for nearly the entire first half before allowing a tally in the 38th. The second half was a different story, though, as the Maroons rattled off four.

North Dakota 1-0 Idaho :: Facing an old conference foe in Missoula, the Vandals were unable to find the scoring touch despite outshooting UND 13-6 for the contest. A goal in the 55th proved the deciding tally.

Vermont 0-1 Montana :: Battling a winless Vermont side, the also winless Griz looked like they were headed to another disappointing result with a 17-6 advantage in shots through the contest but nothing to show for it. The 18th, though, was the difference as a corner led to a blocked Alexa Coyle (Bozeman, MT) shot that Hallie Widner (Meridian, ID) buried on the rebound with just 48 seconds remaining on the clock.

Baylor 2-3 Arkansas :: Nine minutes in Camryn Wendlandt (Coeur d'Alene, ID) finished off a teammate's free kick for the opening goal.

West Point 0-0 Northern Arizona :: Defender Mia Padon (Spokane, WA) helped lead Army to the scoreless draw on the road.

Warner Pacific 0-5 Linfield :: Amidee Colleknon (Bend, OR) scored the third and fourth goals for the Wildcats.

William Peace 0-2 Southern Virginia :: Alli Rigby (Rexburg, ID) scored with just under two minutes remaining to lock up the result.

Men's Scores & Notes

MSU Billings 0-1 (OT) Cal Poly Pomona :: Outshot 23-12 by the fourth-ranked Broncos, the Yellowjackets kept the match deadlocked with eight saves from Ludvig Rhodin before a loose ball in the box proved the decisive opportunity for the hosts in the 108th minute.

Whitworth 1-2 Gettysburg :: The hosts took the early lead with a penalty kick in the 14th minute, but a run up the side from Chase Reidt (Spokane, WA) set up Kyle Cacoyannis for the equalizer in the 52nd. The Pirates, though, fell behind again in the 71st and despite close chances from Reidt and Luke Denke (Newman Lake, WA) were unable to pull even.

Cal Baptist 5-2 Gonzaga :: The brand new DI program put the Zags in a hole too big to climb out of in the second half. Down three coming out of the break Quinn Liebmann gave the Bulldogs some hope by converting a penalty in the 54th and Demitrius Kigeya added a second goal seven minutes later to pull within one. The excitement, though, was short-lived as the visitors restored a two-goal cushion less than a minute later and capped the game with another in the 90th.

Whitman 2-3 Chapman :: The Blues took the lead in the neutral site contest in the 32nd minute when Jacob Barsher nodded in a cross from Jadon Bachtold. Chapman, though, put three on the board on either side of the break to take control by two in the 55th. Just over a minute later Barsher connected with CJ Fritz (Bend, OR) to make it a one-goal affair, but that was the end of the rally.

Multnomah 1-4 George Fox :: Moises Manon (Milton-Freewater, OR) scored the opening goal and the go-ahead goals in the first half.

Pacific Lutheran 2-1 Wisconsin Lutheran :: Joe Sammartino (Boise, ID) set up the equalizer in the 51st and netted the winner in the 85th.

Puget Sound 1-2 (OT) Mary Hardin-Baylor :: Luke Murdock (Boise, ID) scored the equalizer in the 82nd minute, but a goal in the 103 gave UMHB the neutral site win.
