With the top three sides manhandling the rest of the Northeast A League on the first few gamedays, Thursday's meeting between Lakeside and Deer Park was the first meeting between any of the trio (Freeman the other), which will see them all face one another in the span of a week as the series continues this week.
After a scoreless first half Thursday in Deer Park in which the Eagles had the better of play in the first half Emmy Moore turned things up another notch in leading the Lady Stags to the victory in a dominant second half performance. She scored the opening goal in the 53rd minute and set up Jessie Thomas' breakaway tally two minutes later. She scored again in the 78th to cap the win. Earlier in the week she also helped lead Deer Park to a 5-2 win at Colville, scoring the first two goals and later adding an assist.
