It was a historic day Sunday in Las Vegas as Raimee Sherle set the Mountain West career goals record while leading the Broncos to a win against UNLV. In all, it was a pretty good day for the DI schools from the state with both Idaho and Idaho State also picking up victories as well in Big Sky play.
Here's a recap of the weekend's action...
## Women's Scores & Notes ##
Big Sky Conference
Sunday - Portland State 2-3 Eastern Washington :: The defending champion Eagles rebounding from their league-opening loss, but had to work for it as they fell behind after 11 minutes. Jenny Chavez would tie things back up 39 minutes in when she nodded in a corner from Allison Raniere. Level at the break, an own goal from the Vikings 54 seconds into the second half put the Eags in front before Chavez delivered a ball to Taylor Matheny in the 54th for what proved to be the winner.

Sunday - Northern Colorado 2-1 (OT) Montana :: The celebration of 25 years of Griz soccer was spoiled by a overtime dagger in the 105th minute by the visitors in the league opener for both sides. Kennedy Yost (Pocatello, ID) scored in the 42nd on a free kick to put Montana in front, but a loose ball in the air at the top of the box unable to be corralled by keeper Claire Howard allowed an equalizer with just under three minutes remaining.

Makayla Presgrave (Saint Maries, ID) needed to only make two saves as the Vandal defense allowed just three shots by the Hornets.

Mountain West Conference
Sunday - Boise State 3-0 UNLV :: One player that did not need Lady Luck in Las Vegas on Sunday was Raimee Sherle (Meridian, ID). After missing out on the scoring Friday she provided all of it, setting program records. And it all happened the span of 3:11 at the start of the second half. Emily Curry found her for the first in the 47th and Kristina Serres the second two minutes later to become the all-time scoring leader for the Broncos. Only 26 more seconds passed before she completed the hat-trick in the 51st, moving the junior within four of the Mountain West career record. Though the ranking of her hat-trick in the speed table is currently unknown, the record holder at 2:02 is Abby Wambach (Florida, 2000). Though UNLV had 10 shots, Tara Fisher only had to contend with one on frame. MWC Standings [+]
