Just as had been the case Tuesday in the NEA, the opening games of the Great Northern League were one-sided affairs. The big surprise though was that defending champion East Valley was on the wrong side of their contest against Cheney, which finished third last year. Meanwhile, the NEA saw the top three again amass a huge goal differential, outscoring the opposition 19-0.
