Quick Round-Up of mid-week games and news...

Women's Scores & Notes

Thursday, September 13

Gonzaga 2-0 Colorado State :: Samantha Heilman (Richland, WA) fed Madeline Gotta for a goal from just outside the box five minutes into the match and then scored herself off a through ball from Gabriela Maas eight minutes later to add some insurance. From there Isabel Jones took care of business in goal with five saves to complete the shutout performance.

Idaho 3-2 (OT) Seattle University :: The hosts opened things up in the 18th minute with the lone goal of the first half, but the second stanza and finish in general proved to be a thriller. Kayleigh Frederick tied things up for the Vandals in the 54th minute, but Paige Malm (Spokane, WA) put the Redhawks back in front nine minutes later with a nice finish off a cross. With just under five minutes left a throw-in from Josilyn Daggs was nodded in by Kelly Dopke to send the match to overtime where Kayla Watanabe wasted no time finding a winner, heading the deciding tally in off a deflected cross.

South Dakota State 2-0 Idaho State :: The visiting Jackrabbits broke the stalemate in the 58th minute and added a second goal with six minutes remaining.

TCU 0-3 Santa Clara :: Already up two from the first half, Maria Sanchez (American Falls, ID) set up the final goal for the Broncos.

Men's Scores & Notes

Thursday, September 13

Oklahoma Baptist 1-2 MSU Billings :: Ignacio Crespo put the Yellowjackets up in the 26th minute off a cross from Dana Kowachek (Missoula, MT)
and just before the break Christian Thode ripped a shot into the upper corner via Guillaume Kremer in the 44th.

Northwest Nazarene 2-3 Biola :: The Knighthawks tied things up twice in the contest, pulling even in the 26th minute on an own goal for an even score at the break and knotting it up again in the 53rd on a penalty converted by Alex Mitrovic. The hosts, though, grabbed a late winner in the 89th.

Hawaii Hilo 1-4 Saint Martin's :: Sebastian Navarro (Yakima, WA) put away a second chance opportunity off a corner at the back post 22 minutes in for the Saints and Will Eldred (Richland, WA).
